The North Suburban Symphony was formed as an amateur orchestra in August 1988. Our current roster includes over 40 players from around Lake County and beyond. Our musicians’ backgrounds are very diverse: lawyers, teachers, doctors, business professionals, scientists, play alongside college and high school students and retirees.
We are dedicated to the principle that music, both its appreciation and its performance, can be a lifetime activity. The North Suburban Symphony provides opportunities for amateur musicians of all ages to play standard works of the symphonic repertoire under skilled conductors.
We perform four concerts during our season on Sundays at 4 pm. All concerts in 2013-2014 are held in the Gorton Auditorium in Lake Forest except for the March 16th, 2014 concert, which is at Lake Forest High School.
A special Holiday Concert on December 22, 2013, has been added to our season.
Celebrate our 25th Anniversary Season with us in 2013-2014!
